Frequently asked questions
Is my signature uploaded anywhere?
No. Drawing, typing and background removal all happen inside your browser, so your signature never leaves your device and nobody else can see it.
How do I turn a signature on paper into a digital one?
Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, take a sharp photo in good light and use the Upload tab. The paper is removed automatically; move the slider if faint strokes disappear or grey specks remain, and choose a new ink colour if you like.
Where can I use the PNG signature?
The PNG has a transparent background, so you can place it on PDFs (for example with our Sign PDF tool), Word or Google Docs files, images and email signatures without a white box around it.
Can I type my name in Arabic?
Yes. Arabic names are written in the Aref Ruqaa calligraphy font in regular, bold and slanted styles. Latin names get five handwriting fonts to choose from.
Is an image of my signature legally binding?
An image signature shows your intent to sign and is accepted for many everyday documents, but some contracts require a certified digital signature. Check the rules that apply to your document and country.
