Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded when I split it?

No. Splitting runs entirely in your browser, so your document never leaves your device and nobody else can see it.

How do I write page ranges?

Separate ranges with commas, e.g. “1-3, 4-6, 9” — each range becomes its own PDF. Use “8-” for page 8 to the end, “5-3” to reverse pages, or “odd, even” to separate odd and even pages. Turn on “Merge all ranges into one PDF” to join them into a single file instead.

Is there a limit on pages or file size?

The free plan handles files up to 250 MB with no page limit and no daily cap. Very large documents only depend on the memory of your device.

Will splitting reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Bookmarks are not carried over to the new files.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Yes. Enter the password when asked — it is only used inside your browser to open the file, and the split files are saved without a password.
